Day Camp Ministry

Mt Cross Day Camps are a dynamic ministry for congregations who want to reach out to neighborhood families by providing quality programming for the children in their congregation and community. Our trained summer staff bring a week-long"taste" of summer camp to your church. Day Camp activities include Bible encounters, games, crafts, worship and community building activities.

Day Camp is a unique partnership between Mt Cross and your congregation or school.  Your church takes care of advertising and registration, provides housing and meals for the Day Camp team, and recruits volunteers to be on hand to help during the Day Camp week.  That’s it!  Mt. Cross provides the program leadership, the curriculum and even the craft supplies!

Day Camps Provide 294 School Kits to LWR & All Over the World

"On Saturday, October 23, 2010, I took 29 boxes containing 294 completed school kits to the Lutheran World Relief Ingathering...  These kits will go all over the world to help children in need to continue to go to school, even though their lives have been disrupted by war or natural disaster.

"A big thanks goes to you (and your friends who helped) for making the bags that made it possible for our Day Campers and their families to impact the lives of these children.  The bags are not only sturdy but beautiful, and by looking at them you can tell that they were made with love.  There will be a lot of excited kids when these bags are delivered!"
