Mt. Cross along with Holy Cross Lutheran in Los Gatos and Bethel Lutheran in Cupertino receives a $50,000 Charitable Gifting Grant from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. -
Thank you to Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and their continuing Charitable Gifting Initiative for believing that our three organizations will be able to work together in our project titled – The Milestone Project, Growing God's Kingdom. The purpose of this grant is to educate and motivate individuals regarding charitable gifting options, and to generate new gifts benefiting Lutheran Institutions and organizations through a multitude of planned giving options.
More information will be coming as this is a two year program beginning in 2007.
Thrivent members don't forget that you can have gifts of up to $600 to Mt. Cross matched every year. The Giving Plus program is an amount of money budgeted and set asideby Thrivent to match the gifts of its members. This means that in 2006, when the over $20 million dollars is given away, that is it, there are no more gifts matched. So Mt.
